Balustrade
For now this might be the last one from little historic Sloten.
I don’t know about you, but I’m getting enough of posting this series of images. There is more of this place I would like to show you but sunshine is ruling over the Netherlands, trees and flowers are blossoming gorgeously and we are about to head off for another ride, so I hope I’ll come back with some flowers to post.
Have a nice day.

Sloten
When temperatures drop bellow zero (Celsius) whole Netherlands starts speculating:
“Will there be a ‘Elfstedentocht’?
The ‘Elfstedentocht’ is THE Dutch ice-skating event!
When nature freezes canal water into black ice making this
ice-skating tour trough 11 towns of the Dutch province of Friesland possible …
well, Holland gets feverish of excitement!
Last Sunday we visited the smallest one of these towns, Sloten.
We found it to be a very cute and picturesque little place.
The historic and very characteristic Dutch merchant homes made it very easy
to imagine it featuring in one of the Dutch old masters paintings.
Let me show you what we saw …

Sloten. De kleinste van de Elfstedentocht steden.
Afgelopen zondag zijn we er geweest en we vonden het prachtig, schilderachtig.
Dankzij het historische centrum is het makkelijk om je in
één van de schilderijen van de oude meesters te wanen.
Hier volgen enkele beelden …
